In Texas, David Ramos was sentenced to 10 years in prison in connection with the death of his 8-month-old daughter, Danielle James Ramos. Mr. Ramos was convicted of manslaughter. The trial revealed Ramos tried rocking Danielle to sleep because she was crying and then he threw her in her bassinet. He did not seek medical attention for her until it was too late. Prosecutors say he lied, tried to cover it up and then continue to not take responsibility for his actions that lead to her death. Danielle's mother was convicted in an earlier trial for her death.
